Sabor Opens New Durham Location
On October 24th, Sabor Latin Street Grill opened the doors to its newest restaurant location in Durham, NC. The Durham addition marks the Latin American restaurant’s 19th location and the first in the Research Triangle, continuing Sabor’s fast-growing expansion into new communities following the grand opening of the Winston-Salem location in April.
Conveniently located off of Highway 54 across from SouthPoint Crossing, the new location serves all of Sabor’s F.A.B. favorites, including authentic street tacos, burritos and bowls, empanadas, arepas, nachos and, of course, the iconic self-serve salsa bar. All menu items can be customized to order with a range of toppings, condiments, proteins and vegetarian options. The Durham Sabor is fully open for delivery, takeout, online ordering and dine-in eating with rotating daily specials that are available in-store only.
Drink options include Mexican Coca-Cola and a colorful array of fruity Jarritos, a soft drink from Mexico. Diners 21 and over can choose from Mexican beers, domestic beers, and cocktails like house-made margaritas.
During the grand opening, Durham area locals got the chance to try unique street food items from across Latin America that aren’t typical fare at the common taqueria. Mexican quesabirrias, Dominican empanadas and Venezuelan arepas were just a few of the bold recipes on diner’s plates right next to familiar favorites like tacos, nachos and churros.
Visitors were also gifted free branded swag and encouraged to share their dining experience with friends, family and followers on social media.
The new Durham location won’t be the end of Sabor’s expansion. Founder Dalton Espaillat plans to bring Sabor’s fresh, authentic and bold menu to even more communities and continue sharing Latin American street cuisine across the Carolinas and beyond.
